Ola in Hawaiian refers to life, health, and well-being. Located at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s Fabled North Shore, Ola serves up contemporary cuisine on the edge of Kuilima Cove. It’s Turtle Bay’s restaurant on the beach.
In many ways, it was very fitting that the new W Bistro at 1010 opened alongside the Hawaii tour of the Broadway hit, The Lion King. W Bistro bills itself as being at the center of food, art, and conversation. The restaurant sits on the corner of Victoria St. & King St, and is located between the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Hawaii-inspired giclee prints line the walls of the small bistro, established by owners Richard and Judy Weinstein. But how’s the food? I’d say that it’s on par with its artistic counterparts across the street.
