What do you do if you’ve got 48 hours to spend in Hilo and have a tiny toddler companion tagging along for the trip? Actually, lots. First thing, it’s Hilo, so expect wet weather. Drizzles and rain is part of the small town Hilo charm.

The Shoreline Hotel recently opened their doors for us to enjoy a weekend stay at their sleek, modern hotel, located in the Heart of Waikiki. We used this time as an opportunity to enjoy the amenities that they offered and also explore some of the nearby food attractions…and my, oh my, there are many new options to consider.
Over the last two years, my wife and I have taken advantage of the long Thanksgiving break to explore our neighbor islands (see some of our Lanai and Hawaii Island posts).
