If you plan to enjoy breakfast at Morning Glass Coffee + Cafe in Manoa on a sleepy Saturday morning, then be sure to get there early. Even then, lines begin to form shortly after their first drop of coffee is served. It’s a popular spot amongst locals and Japanese tourists. Thing is, the Japanese no longer have to fly very far to get their Morning Glass Coffee fix since there is now a location in Osaka. Of course, I had to fly from Hawaii to check it out.
If you’ve been to the Manoa location, then you’ll quickly feel at home sipping your coffee at the Osaka cafe. The main difference is the size of the Osaka location…it is huge compared to the Manoa shop and, yep, not a wooden shack.
Enjoy Kona Coffee…it’s Extra Fancy! Whenever I mentioned Kona coffee at the other coffee shops that I visited on this trip, the barista’s were quick to say that it was very expensive. Well, at least you know that you can score Kona beans in Osaka!
There’s a bit of Hawaii infused into every nook and cranny of the cafe.
Please allow 5-10 minutes for brewing!
The barista prepares my latte.
Interested in a banana chocochip cream scone?
The stuffin…it’s a muffin that is stuffed with bacon, cheese, and veggies.
Yes to this strawberry honey scone.
The breakfast menu:
I went with the “Egg-A-Muffin”…mmmm
…and coffee, of course…
Self serve doggie bags. Love.
