The Royal Breakfast Buffet at the Royal Hawaiian

Opened in 1927, the Royal Hawaiian Resort is one of Hawaii’s oldest and most luxurious hotels. Experience a taste of that luxury and enjoy the Royal Breakfast Buffet at the Surf Lanai, featuring edible creations by Executive Chef Colin Hazama.

To get there, you’ll have to pass through these gates…

The historic Pink Palace and her iconic pink stucco.

Not too shabby…

Every seat is a beachside seat.

The buffet features a wide selection of choices…

…including fresh fruit…

…and waffles with your choice of toasted coconut or macadamia nuts.

They also have a cute mini bakeshop with a selection pastries.

The Royal Banana Bread was moist and delicious.

The Royal Breakfast Buffet includes an entree choice from the ala cart menu. I went with the Pink Palace Pancakes, featuring guava raspberry shortcakes and coconut kaffir creme.

This is the Royal Hawaiian’s take on the classic Loco Moco, and of course, it’s called the Royal Loco Moco.

But whatever you do… enjoy a cup of Guava Juice with your breakfast…because…pink is the theme!

But the real gem here is the view while you dine…

Thinking of tasting your way through the Royal Breakfast Buffet? Remember to self-park at the Royal Hawaiian parking lot or valet in front of the hotel entrance for 4 hours of complimentary parking. If you decide to park in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center lot, then you’ll have to spend a minimum of $10 at the shopping center to have your ticket validated (and then you’ll need to pay $2 for parking – without validation it’s $10).
