The View From Osaka Castle

There seems to be a castle wherever you go in Japan, but Osaka Castle should be on your short list of must visit Japanese castles. Originally built in 1583, Osaka Castle is the main symbol of Osaka. If you happen to visit between late March and Early April, then you’ll be lucky to see the castle surrounded by cherry blossom trees. Now THAT would be pretty (and cost you a pretty penny).

Get Your Slurp on at Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar

The Hawaiian islands might be in the middle of a summer heat wave, but really, is there such thing as a bad time for ramen? I don’t think so. Having been to Goma Tei on numerous occasions (probably a bazillion times), it was time to try out a few new joints. Golden Pork and Agu Ramen Bistro are two ramen bars that I’ve consistently been hearing a lot about. There was no need to flip a coin. Golden Pork was the nearest and so Golden Pork it was.
