Eat The Street: Chocolate

Eat The Street! It’s been a while since I’ve battled the crowds at Kakaako’s favorite food rally. However, the theme was chocolate, and well, I just had to be there. The usual suspects were there (Soul Patrol, Paul’s Poppers, and Ono Pops), along with some pleasant new surprises (Wow Wow Waffle, Pt. Suisse, Oko Guys, Pop Pop Donuts).

I tasted the Japanese fare from Blue Truck Teppanyaki. The Garlic Teriyaki Chicken was tasty, while the Oyster Dynamite…was dynamite (though a bit pricey at five bucks a pop – worth it though). The most popular truck of the evening belonged to Wow Wow Waffle and their Wow Wow Aloha Mason Jars filled with their signature cold-pressed lemonades. The line of thirsty Wow Wow patrons stretched across the vacant parking lot.

It was an all around great event. I left wondering why I had skipped it the last couple of months. Needless to say, I’ll be back. Bacon?
